On the 23rd March when the whole of the UK went into lockdown, we were unaware of the impact this would have on the property market when things returned back to the new ‘normal’.
Recently, the government had announced that Estate Agents were able to conduct viewings again, we had restructured our practices so we could become operational again as quickly and as safely as possible.
As we started to reopen, two out of the five apartments we manage on Station Approach in Snaresbrook became vacant within days of one another. We instructed our contractors to carry out the necessary works, and had them ready to let and advertised online within one week.
After receiving an extremely high demand for viewings within the first 24-48 hours, we conducted over 15 viewings over the next few days.
Just 6 days after listing the properties online, and after receiving a number of offers, we had let both properties and secured move in dates – This has definitely restored our confidence and given us a positive boost about the current market.
